Half Day Glass Workshop – 21st August

I am running one of my Half Day Glass Workshops on the morning of Tuesday 21st August.  There are a couple of spaces left, so get in touch if you’d like to sign up.  More information can be found on the Workshop section of the website, or get in touch if you’ve got any questions.  (If you’d like to do the workshop but can’t make this date, drop me a line.)

Glass at last!

Sometimes I really wonder why I’m so obsessed with glass and my kiln.  The lion cub and elephant paintings usually take a few days at most, whilst this little glass elephant has taken 2 months of trial and error, error, error…  It’s all because I work with recycled glass and make my own moulds of course.  Oh well, I’m sure I learned a lot along the way!

Cats!

I’m really getting into this now!  And here is one cat that I have always particularly loved.  As a child I used to spend hours standing in front of the bars of the awful Victorian cages at London Zoo – until I was forced to move on.  It effected me deeply and when I lived in HK I wrote to the local paper complaining about the cage the jaguar was kept in at the Botanical Gardens.  There was a big response and before I left a larger enclosure had been built.
